Celebrate May Day with Cuban Catalogs, Cupcakes and Cabernet

Join us at Vérité Coffee & Cupcake Royale in Madrona (34th & Spring) on Thursday, May 1st to celebrate the release of The Seattle-Havana Poster Show catalog. The full-color catalog documents the Seattle/Havana silk-screen poster pairings presented at Bumbershoot 2007 and most recently at Centro de Desarrollo de las Artes Visuales (CDAV), Havana. Curator Daniel R. Smith will present slides from his trip to the April 17th Cuban premier.

Exhibit catalogs and limited edition silk-screen posters by Havana designers Grupo Camaleón will be available for purchase with proceeds going towards print costs. Plus, Lisa Baer from Baer Winery, Woodinville will be pouring their newest release, the 2005 Ursa, an amazing blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec & Petit Verdot.

The Seattle-Havana Poster Show exhibit catalog made possible with the generous support of the American Poster Institute, AIGA Seattle, Girlie Press and Society Co. Only 500 copies available in the U.S.! Of 1,000 copies printed, 500 were transported to Cuba and donated to CDAV to help fund their ongoing exhibitions.
